Sights & Sounds

Another night with something to do. Sights & Sounds were playin at the albert. One of the last shows before the new owner dude takes over. Sarde and myself went down there.Sights & Sounds played a good set, like they usually do.A little more evil than you'd expect.
Xmas demon on drums.
A little Christmas cheer during the set...jingle bells motherfucker!I can guarantee you that Jon was taking better pictures than me.Here's a few bros I don't get to see very often. The next two pics are kind of unexpected...so pay close attention.

1. the mythical Hannah...
2. Mel lookin cute on my camera... The year is almost done...let's see what the last night has in store. Stay safe.

The Dawn Of A New Era

It's saturday night fights time! The pats were going for a perfect regular season as well. The fights were not bad...and GSP solidified his position of dominance. The pats also got the win for a perfect regular season...first one in 25 years. What better way to celebrate than a few Mexican Chili chips? There were a ton of people at Puddy's house for the fights and after that Nate and I went to a party where I saw this little guy. All this cat wanted to do was scratch the shit out of me.Then I went downstairs and saw the big cat. You know things are going good when this is the first thing you see...oh what's that behind him?JESSE! The party was at his house or his parent's house or whatever. ALL PRAISES DUE!VIVA BRASILI have no explanation for this one.Costume in hand before imminent danger. Now some bros gettin live. Jars, Xacto and The body.Braulio gettin a little crazy...is this real? The girls I just met at the party...one didn't seem to mind the smell of "penis sweat"Shit got kinda hulk later.
Then even more out of control with Bro Ryley and Matt Holden!
This is so punk it hurts.
Football all day and Sights & Sounds at the albert tomorrow night. More to come.

I hadn't hung out with DPG in a while...so when he gets at me we hang out. Pretty simple. We didn't know what was gonna happen til Rich n Braulio hit me up and said they were goin to Thida Thai. We got our act together and made it down there. It's a friday night and Christmas is clearly not over. Looks like a few people aren't exactly impressed regarding that situation.
It seems like every time I go to a thai place I always get the matsaman with tofu. It happened again tonight. Ordered a spice level ten and it was barely spicy. Rich only got a twenty and was not impressed by it.
Darren and I played nice and shared spring rolls! The peanut sauce is a nice change from the plum sauce.
The coconut shake is always a good look...too bad it's not even close to one at The Bo.
After the food I picked up the entire catalog of Arrested Development on DVD for $50 brand new. So stoked for this. If you like hilarity get at me and maybe we'll watch it together and have a great time. We were headed downtown to pick up Ty Guy and stopped off at Urban where DPG bought an amazing hat...I'm kinda bummed that I have no documentation of the glory. Oddly enough Tyson wanted to eat so we started driving and thinking. Lucky for us...we got shut down at two places. The kinda shut down that involves driving up to Pyramid Falafel and having them turn the open sign off as you're walking up to the door. Then we drove around and made our way to Little Saigon...turned around to park and BOOM open light turned off. George's was the next option and I was told about a mythical veggie burger. I didn't believe it so off we went. I was not lied to.
The burger was nothing special, but it was still at George's which is the craziest thing. They also have great fries. The burger has tzatziki which I obviously didn't get but could make it better and a little more moist. We all got the same thing...that sounds like true friends right there. Here it is...the best pot for a christmas cactus ever. Decorations are the key to success in a good restaurant.
Well it's not very often that you eat out twice in one night but sometimes you just gotta do it up. Tomorrow is for fights, magical chips, and little kid parties. We're gonna be back to live updates soon.

Delicious Day

The couple days between Christmas and new year's are probably the best days to work. They are super chill for me and it's a nice break from the normal working days. These days also allow me to sneak out for lunch. I never get to hit the DV lunch special when I work...except for this week. Why not celebrate the first day back after boxing day with a lunch treat? It was hot and sour soup
Along with tofu and bean sprouts in satay sauce. Came with a spring roll and white rice.
It's always a good look for lunch at DV, cheap and lots of food. I was at work in the afternoon and got a call that Wil was in town from Victoria...it turned out my lunch trip to DV wasn't my last one of the day. That night I rolled up to DV with Sarde.
It had been a while since I saw Manny...at least this time she didn't give me the gears for not being there in a while!
Then the man himself showed up...Mr. William Bratt. It had been quite a while and it's always a pleasure seein this guy.
The bitchpuncher aka ferro showed up as well...more from her later!
I decided to try something new tonight...Spicy peanut noodle soup.
It was a nice change from the usual. Would order again.
Best spring rolls ever...a must order.
Spicy salt mushrooms...another classic.
A relatively small meal since I had been out once already today. It got the job done nonetheless. A little bit of tofu in that soup and it would be a meal in itself. One more thing...boots of the same color...not punk.
Found out soon after that the bitchpuncher makes toys and was giving them away to friends over the holidays. Wil got himself a ninja. He is happy for a reason.
I was lucky enough to get a raccoon and my daughter the pirate showed it off to the world.
Nate got hisself a coonstache!
After that meal I said my little goodbye to Wil and made my way over to Lyndon's bday party. It was pretty chill. Here is the man after having maybe a little to much to drink.
A little look at what his night was...remember I said a little look. One of those was from my ginger ale...don't you worry about that.
That was the end to a pretty sweet day. More updates soon...I just gotta find time.
