Still keepin it chill so why not watch some vids? We'll start with the homie Ben...I mean Asher Roth's latest vid off his new album. It's a great record, end of story. This video is kinda cool as well.
Best part about this video is seeing an actual release date for OBFCL2. Trust me, you already know.
As I may have said before I'm kind of on a horror movie kick so we'll end with this theme tying video right here.
PS. Second round of the playoffs tonight and the Celtics in Chicago for what proves to be another great game. Pics of snacks n stuff that arrived in the mail coming soon!

FoodTV
Even though I'm not exactly up to cooking it doesn't mean that some people don't come over and make delicious treats, maybe even some people I live with! Inspiration with this came from laying around all day for a couple weeks and watching a healthy amount of FoodTV. I was watching a soft pretzel throwdown, it sounds funny to me, and it seemed like it would be a breeze to veganize. Turns out it was. Soft pretzels with jalapeno cheese sauce.
Here is the man who came over to help make this dream a reality.
Here is the man that is a roomie who is enjoying the fruits of his labor.
Is it weird that they are brothers? Not at all.

Parasitic Skies
In my daily internet purusings, albeit short, I came across a new band Parasitic Skies and was pleasantly surprised. This little ditty came to me by way of the Stuck In The Past blog. They put some interesting stuff up and is def worth checking out. Parasitic Skies is pretty heavy and scathing for lack of a better term. If you like what you heard then why not grab this right here?
It's just as easy as clicking this mediafire link and grabbing their demo.
When looking over the insert to the demo I noticed a few websites they had printed in there so I checked them out. What I found was this and it is interesting/scary. You can be the judge for yourself though.

I pretty much have to start drinkin out of a cup from now on.

More Videos From Lockdown
Still on the mend but progressing slowly and finding things to occupy my time. Talking with friends, reading, watching DVDs and spending minimal time on the internets. Sitting just isn't helping me get better but yet here I am blogging for some reason. First up we'll try take a trip back to some of our childhoods, albeit an updated version of childhood. I recently heard about GI Joe: Resolute and have been watching the webisodes on youtube as I can find them. Now, this isn't the classic PSA's that I'm sure everyone remembers, but these are dope nonetheless.
Here is a video from my favorite, tied and we'll get to that when I can stand to sit for more than 10-15 minutes, album of the year.
Lost tomorrow/tonight, excited?

Life Passes Us All By
Sometimes things happen in life to make us think we are missing out on things or that life is passing us by. I have been laid up for a couple weeks now and sometimes it feels that way. It also gives me time to do things that I might not normally find the time to do so I have to put weight to all of these things in the grand scheme of things take what I can when I can. What I have been is way more into literature lately. Here is what has occupied me for about the last week.
As well as watching the entire first season of this glorious new show.
A big thanks to anyone who has come to visit or entertained me via BB and TMs and extra special thanks to anyone that kept me in the land of sustenance!

Top Movies Addendum
Sometimes you see some flicks late and you have to fix up prior mistakes. Maybe mistakes is the wrong word, but you know, some films just hit you harder than others. That being said Blindness gets bumped for Martyrs. Once again a film I found out about on the Mishka blog and thought I should check out. It took me forever to find and when I did I was stoked. This is a really disturbing film. I would also give Martyrs a spot in my Top 5 of the year.
Another movie I saw late was The Diving Bell and The Butterfly. This is a very unique movie and offers a new perspective that I was into. I'm not sure where it would fit in my top 10 but it would make an appearance somewhere.
Keeping on the theme of movies but moving away from the "top 10" theme is yet another realistically disturbing film. If you take my advice and watch Martyrs then you might as well see Irreversible.I would go as far as saying that horror films will forever be "alright" after watching these two movies. Once again I was nudged in the right direction by Dr. NO who oddly enough contributes to the Mishka blog. If you read this and have a suggestion on other good horror flicks feel free to inform.
